To the uninitiated or uncouth, the bass guitar is what you get to play if you can't play lead guitar. After all, all guitarist feel like they can play the bass. I might have been like that once upon a time myself, but now I am a convert. The bass is an incredibly important and difficult instrument to master. A good bassst has to be able to hear and understand everything else that is going on with the band. The bassist coordinates with the drummer, colors all harmonies, often drives the hook, and supports the singer's melody line.

My bass guitar is a very special beast. It is a custom Moses Starhawk Bass with a 32"/35" fanned fretboard, carbon graphite neck through body, with Crotch Walnut body wings hand-rubbed with Tung oil finish.
